VitalChurch Ministry, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Christian churches through seasons of transition, is hosting an online interim pastor training event from February 13-16, 2023. The four-day event is designed for individuals in church leadership who are called to transitional ministry and want to learn more about the most effective methods and strategies for effecting change in churches. Experienced interim pastors and other members of the VitalChurch Ministry team will train and equip participants in a proven process for restoring a church to a place of health and vitality. Every part of the training flows from a theology that places Christ and His purposes at the center of church revitalization.
Some of the topics covered in the training will be conflict resolution, change management, organizational development, how to identify a church’s real issues, and more. During the event, participants will also receive valuable resources, such as VitalChurch Ministry’s Interim Pastor Training Manual and tried-and-true methods for effective strategic planning and church governance.
This isn’t simply a webinar! Even though the training event will be held online, it is designed to be very interactive. Participants will have plenty of opportunities to network, get feedback from the presenters, and work through sample case studies together. There will be small group sessions, as well as lengthy Q&A sessions with VitalChurch Ministry’s interim pastors—some of whom have more than 25 years of experience in transitional ministry.

The event’s coordinators want to emphasize that the training is not just for current or prospective interim pastors. Anyone in church leadership, including denominational representatives, church board members, or church ministry leaders can benefit from the information and strategies that will be presented and practiced during the training event.
During each of the seminar’s four days, participants will meet on Zoom from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. (EST). Space is limited to allow for productive networking opportunities and access to the presenters.
