VitalChurch Ministry’s Interim Pastor Training Event Back for 2022

VitalChurch Ministry’s Interim Pastor Training Event Back for 2022

This coming Spring, VitalChurch Ministry will be putting on another one of their highly regarded interim pastor training events. As one of the leading providers of intentional interim pastors for churches in transition, VitalChurch Ministry uses these training events as a way to share their expertise with and offer guidance to both current and prospective interim pastors. Similar to last year’s event, the 2022 training will take place online. It will be held from Monday, February 14 through Thursday, February 17, 2022 during the hours of 12:00-4:00 p.m. (EST).

The 2022 interim pastor training event will cover topics such as diagnosing problems, facilitating change, managing destructive powerbrokers, and dealing with idols in Christian churches. However, the event isn’t just comprised of “how-to” training sessions. As the VitalChurch website states, “Our training flows from a theology that places Christ and His purposes at the center of genuine church revitalization.”

Although the event is designed specifically for those who are, or who are interested in becoming, interim pastors, any church leader is welcome to attend. Church leaders can always benefit from additional training, especially in the areas listed above. In addition, every church has gone through a transition recently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so pretty much any church leader could benefit from a training event like this that focuses on navigating challenging church transitions.

In the past year and a half, churches have seen congregation members leave and new ones arrive. Some people stayed online, even after churches opened back up for in-person services. New ministry opportunities may have been created, while others have been reimagined, put on hold, or discontinued altogether. A single church can have congregants who think the church was too cautious in their response to COVID-19, as well as those who think church leadership wasn’t cautious enough. It’s a lot to navigate, even for the most seasoned church leaders.

Church leaders, which include pastors, elders, and ministry directors, would be wise not to ignore a season of transition like this one. As any experienced interim pastor will tell you, transitions are a great time to reexamine a church’s mission and vision. They can also be used to evaluate what the church is doing well and what areas can use improvement, or to address any conflicts or reoccurring issues. In other words, times of transition should be leaned into.

During the four-day online interim pastor training event, current interim pastors, prospective interim pastors, and other church leaders will be introduced to VitalChurch Ministry’s proven process for church revitalization. They can confidently use the word “proven” because they have seen their process be successful in many Christian churches throughout the United States and around the world over their more than 25 years in ministry.

Attendees will receive valuable resources, such as VitalChurch’s Interim Pastor Training Manual, seminars with some of the leading interim pastors in the world, as well as opportunities for discussion and networking with like-minded pastors and ministry leaders.

If you would like to be a part of the 2022 interim pastor training seminar, visit the event page on the VitalChurch website to sign up. The cost to attend is $599 until January 20, 2022. After that it will be $699 per person.
